How to block a slot
In Slot view, staff can block a slot directly from the slot panel. Blocking a slot creates a blocked booking record for that time and item so the slot is no longer treated as open sellable availability. This is useful for maintenance, internal holds, private operational needs, staffing gaps, or any other reason a specific time should not be bookable.

- Open the relevant slot in Slot view.
- Choose the blocking action from the slot panel.
- A full slot block marks the slot as blocked and removes it from normal slot availability.
- The blocked record is stored with a blocked status so the system can treat it differently from a normal customer booking.
Tips
- Use Slot view for hands-on operational changes and broader views like Item or Asset when you need planning context.
- Choose closures for recurring or date-range shutdowns and slot blocks for one-off operational holds.
- Keep item durations accurate, because schedule overlap logic and open time options depend on them.
- Review schedule filters before concluding a slot is missing; the booking may simply be filtered out.
