Inventory types
Items can sell against unlimited capacity or against assigned assets. Asset-based inventory is the right choice when a physical room, boat, or piece of equipment limits how many bookings can run at once.
- Unlimited means the schedule and spots rules are the capacity model.
- Resource based inventory means Assets assigned on Overview reduce availability as bookings are taken.
- Configure the asset pool on the Assets page, then assign it here so two items that share a room cannot double-book it.
Tips
- Create the schedule and pricing before you turn on Visible on booking site, or guests will see an item they cannot actually book.
- Use categories that match how you want the booking site to filter (tours vs classes vs rentals).
- Override deposit only on items that need it; organization-wide deposit lives in Payment Settings → Payment Methods.
- Keep public titles and photos guest-facing. Internal tags belong in Organization, not in the title.
